"This historic hotel feels wonderfully old school, with high ceilings, great views, and a special vibe. Everything works, including the outstanding restaurant attached, Larks. The bed felt luxurious. The tv is not smart - in fact , infuriatingly dumb - one doesn’t come to Ashland to stream Netflix. We had a corner room with brilliant light coming through very tall windows. The window was rather small by modern standards but lacked nothing. I assume they’re having some labor shortages...

"Arrived after 9 PM but was provided with a phone number to call an employee of my arrival so I could check in and receive my key after providing my card number over the phone. Minimal parking but next to the motel there is a restaurant within view so I parked my vehicle there. Unit A/C was great and was left running for when I arrived. King size bed was comfortable overall but there was an indent so if two people would be sleeping there it would not be ideal. Coffee machine worked perfectly....

"The room was very clean, something as a former maid I always look for. Staff was very helpful. We loved the soaps and staff was great about finding which particular soap brand used and even a store location for us. Motel was quiet at night and the beds were very comfortable.
