"Centrally located on Rue Royale, Motel One is about 7 minutes walk from the Grand Place. It's less than that to other places of interest such as Mont des Arts, Magritte's Museum and the Royal Palace. The tram and buses run down Rue Royale and Brussels Central train station is less than 10 minutes away.
The foyer with it's floor to ceiling windows is large, welcoming and well laid out with lots of areas to relax and enjoy a drink from the bar. Be that a coffee, tea, something soft or alcoholic. There was a range of wines, cocktails, mocktails and beers. I had coffee a few times and it was really great. The staff were very professional and attentive, helping out with information on things to do, ordering taxis and such.
There were 3 main lifts by the bar and others located at either end. The hallways were nice and bright and the carpets were clean.
The room I stayed in was on the 5th floor. Whilst small, it was clean, neat and tidy. The window opened fully and had a glass, waist-height barrier for safety. The bed was really comfortable and meant a decent night's sleep after a fun filled day. It had a TV and safe, though no fridge, kettle or iron. You could ask for an iron, if needed.
Breakfast was optional and I had chosen not to include this on my trip as I rarely eat in the morning. My friends did have breakfast and said it was continental style."
