"This hotel is excellent for families and one of the only around with a suite large enough for all. Absolutely fabulous views of the bridge. Our teen boys LOVED the daily breakfast, and our 7 year old was constantly watching the birds on the shoreline and the ships going by. Small but clean and saltwater(!) pool. Trolley stop right behind the hotel, and 20 minute walk from downtown. Our only negative was the room was missing a tv (not a big deal to us, but our teens complained). Overall a great...

"Pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a room with a kitchenette, and it was like a little apartment. It was clean, spacious, modern and very comfortable. Definitely one of the better places we have stayed! The only minor things that could be improved on is the lighting in the living room / kitchen area was pretty dim, and the soap / shower gel / shampoo dispensers in the bathroom did not dispense very much at a time so it was difficult to get a reasonable amount. "When you book do so close to the time needed or they will charge you 3 times the amount. The place seemed to house homeless. Many were mentally ill. No problems but I didn’t feel safe."

"When we drove up to this hotel, we almost drove away. The exterior is poorly maintained and looks dilapidated. We decided to give the room a try. It was better, although dated and seemed quite clean. We needed help with the TV and the young man from the counter was very helpful. Our room was facing the bridge and quite scenic. It was near the end of the riverwalk and a bit sketchy.No problems though. I would not stay here again."

"Parking was easy and safe. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. The trolley that takes you to town was a plus! Enjoyed watching the ships that were on the river. "

"Everything was first rate, from the linens, to the bed, to the home itself, to the delicious breakfasts, to the game room in the basement, and especially the friendliness of Candy and Ken. You will not be dissapointed. They also own the "Salty Dog" fishing charter boat if that's on your agenda."

I am a night owl so I usually take an afternoon nap then wake up later, so around 9:00 pm I would like to go out and get a drink but it was unavailable to make it worse, Ilwaco itself doesnt have much in terms of eatery ie. no McDonalds.
