"The welcome was fantastic and the reception staff gave us amazing advice on what to visit, when based ion heat and busy periods, and where to eat. The hotel was basic but lovely and so convenient for the neighbouring Acropolis. We had a balcony view and it was perfect. It was so much closer to the sights than I'd even thought. The Aircon in the room was very much needed as it was 42°C and the rooftop terrace area was amazing for evening drinks with the acropolis as the backdrop as the sun went...

"The Athens gate is perfectly located near the Acropolis and all of the great shops within walking distance. We found excellent places for lunch and dinner. Of course the Greek food was perfect, but we actually happened into a small Italian restaurant that had about six tables and cooked the food right in front of you in an open kitchen. We felt like we were being served at someone’s home with better service and great wine selection. "
