While it is true the area is a little run down, it is perfectly safe to walk around day and night. Like London, Athens does have areas which are run down but still safe. The hotel itself is great. Friendly staff, decent rooms and a good restaurant. For what I paid, I have no complaints!

Some of the staff needed sone warning up to at first, but they were very accommodating overall. The rooftop restaurant was a nice view even though it was a view of train station. The breakfast was extremely limited. Not a bad place to stay for one night. The only thing that absolutely needs work are the beds. I had to put a pillow under my hip because i could feel the bed springs underneath.

Negatives - There were two light fixtures that were hanging without bulbs. Laminate torn. No shower curtain. It looked scary. Our room wasn't actually in the hotel, it was a few buildings down. Just needs some loving care.

Had a wonderful stay at the Ariston I had an incident at another place where I was staying in Athens, and had to leave right away super early in the morning. Ariston hotel was able to accommodate my last minute reservation. The staff was super understanding and sweet, especially Matina! The location is nice and only located a few minutes from the Larissa Station and Athens Central Railway making it convenient to get to most places in the city by public transit. The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was sweet and kept everything tidy. I didn’t get a chance to have the breakfast, but they have it daily from 7-10 am and they also have a restaurant and rooftop bar. There are great restaurants and shops that are located within walking distance of the hotel. It can be a little noisy at night, but I opted for a room near the back of their property, and it was much quieter for me. All in all, a great stay and they were super accommodating! I would stay here again!

We didn’t add the breakfast, we mainly came here due to the location on the Meteora tour which is conveniently 1/2 a block away. This place took us back to the 80’s -lol. That being said it is clean, and the staff are friendly, -this is why I rated it 4 stars. I left my necklace, I didn’t have high hopes that I’d be able to get it back but when I came back to tell them the cleaning lady brought it to the front desk and I was able to get it back. Whew! So thankful for here! They also luggage storage so that is also a plus!

The best priced hotel i think ive ever had, absolutely spot on. We had food upstairs and it was the best chicken gyros ive had and by a mile the best i had whilst in athens. The staff were very helpful and rooms clean

Please is clean and safe. I wasn’t able to do check in until 3 pm. even when Expedia have a 2 pm check in. And we have to pay to storage the luggage because we got there early to check in. It does have a restaurant roof top and food is very good.
