We liked that our suite had two washrooms, effective heating for our December visit, plenty of dishes and cutlery for the kitchenette to allow us to eat breakfast and some dinners. We did not have a washer in-suite, but the basement had a washer and dryer (with detergent supplied!). We made use of the exercise room, the books the hotel had (How to Talk to Strangers, official book of the Acropolis Museum collection). We even learned how to play dominos on this trip with a set the hotel had.

Es war einfach top, kann ich sehr empfehlen. Zentral so dass Vieles zu Fuss möglich war. Kleines Gym, genau richtig für einen Workout am Abend:-))

This was a perfect location for us. We walked to the Acropolis and Museum. Also there were various stores to pick up groceries from all within walking distance. Our room was very clean. The kitchen was so well stocked. The only thing I didn't find was a toaster. The large fridge was perfect. Normally you have mini fridges and you can't fit much in them. The shower was spacious and had great water pressure. The bed was so comfortable. Communication was great. You can always contact someone and ask questions if needed. We were sent the main door and your room codes by Whatsapp. There are information papers in your room with internet code etc. I loved the terrace on the roof. Nice view of the Acropolis day and night. I would return to this hotel again.

Our stay at the Ark Residence couldn’t have been better! The staff is amazing and was always more than willing to help and offer advice during our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the a/c did not disappoint! The location is also prime as it is only a ~10 minute walk from most of the attractions! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Athens.

Fantastic stay at an amazing aparthotel!

The apartment was extremely well-appointed and beautifully designed. It was also huge and even had two bathrooms!! My friend and I lived a life of total luxury for a very cheap price! The terrace was lovely and had also beautiful furniture, as did the apartment itself. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, but dark at night. The aparthotel is close to a bus stop, but in our 2 days, the bus we needed never came, but that is apparently a common occurrence in Athens:)). Nearby (3 mins walk) is a lovely jazz club and a cosy residential street with two small supermarkets and nice neighbourhood bars and restaurants (7 mins walk). Also, a real highlight is the stunning cemetary (5 mins walk) - please, go visit it - it is a peaceful oasis with incredibly ornate thombs.

Great option for the more independent travelers, who prefer to live as the locals do, shop for local foods and cook a meal or two in the apartment. Loved the drying rack on the balcony,the AC worked really well. Kitchen was small but functional. Appreciated the different coffee making options. Wish the dryer downstairs had English instructions; was left guessing about which option to use. Figured out since there is no humidity the balcony rack dried clothes faster than an electric dryer!

The size of Shanghai La was perfect! Having the kitchen and washer was so helpful. We walked to grocery store and were able to cook some meals which was nice. Also, it was easily walkable to the Temple of Zeus and a nice pedestrian area with restaurants and shops. We also walked to Syntagma square and the Panathenaic Stadium. Location was great. It might have been difficult to locates the building, but knowing it was green helped it stand out!

Great choice for seeing ancient Athens!

Modern, spacious apartments close to all sites including the Acropolis - 20 walk, ancient Agora - 30 minutes walk. Communication was easy & prompt the block is made up of approximately 7 flats on 5 floors which have been designed individually with no expense spared. All equipment and bedding felt new & our flat Eden had two bathrooms & an outside courtyard for our private use. There’s also a rooftop space with seating, table & 2 loungers with a view of the Acropis which is quite spectacular at night when it’s lit up. The surrounding area includes a jazz club literally 100 metres away & several supermarkets & bar/restaurants just around the corner- 300 metres away. All in all this is a great choice for a few days stay in Athens at a very reasonable price.

Very quiet on the property with light traffic sounds when on balcony. Room was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. Property was easy to access and staff were helpful and prompt with questions and information, although note they are not on site. Within 20min walk to metro station and Acropolis area. Unless getting a taxi directly to front doors of hotel, I would not recommend wheeled luggage due to uneven pavement and/or lack of designated sidewalks. Also be aware that area around hotel is very hilly.

This was a beautiful apartment with all the amenities you could ever ask for. Walking into the area at first seemed the area looked a “ little rough” but we quickly realized this was a local area rich in culture. There were market stores and a couple restaurants very close by. Plaka and the Acropolis was a short easy 15 minute walk. Welcome package sent prior to check in was well done. Roof top terrace was AMAZING and has views of sunset and Acropolis. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely apart hotel

We love staying in this hotel..easy to get in, lift and another code to get into the apt., we found a nice and clean apartment with a very good wine..

The Ark Residence was a fantastic property as a base for us to enjoy Athens from. We were walking distance to almost all of the attractions on our list including the Acropolis (including museum), the Agora, the Plaka, the National Museum just to name a few; and we were walking distance to the excellent metro system that took us to Piraeus on the coast. There were numerous restaurants close by and shops were everywhere! The property room itself was very spacious, clean, safe, and had excellent amenities: compact but full kitchen; two bathrooms (in our particular suite); separate bedroom with TV and AC; good sized living area with TV and with dining area and AC, as well as having a large recessed day bed (that has privacy curtains and quite comfortable); and there are free laundry facilities on site. But, by far, the best part of our stay was the amazing property manager Foteini! She greeted us when we arrived and went over everything comprehensively and answered all of our questions. She was so nice and very kind as well as having a great sense of humour and was genuinely interested in talking to us. We had one minor problem with the new AC and she was in the suite to see to it in less than five minutes, having the issue completely resolved within half an hour. Could not have been more happy with this property. We highly recommend it!

Highly recommend

Everything was exactly as it appears in the photos. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The location is great, close to all the main attractions but not too busy or crowded. Communication was excellent and very helpful. There is some traffic noise in the evening and from about 6am but nothing too major. The apartment is also close to a large supermarket which was very useful. Overall we had a fantastic stay and we’d highly recommend The Ark Residencies apartments.
