"Was surprised that there was no front desk at this property so no one to ask any questions too. There were things that were missing that I wish there had been someone to ask. The room had no milk in any form for the coffee or tea. There were no tissues in the room, the comforter which I found stuffed in a drawer had no cover on it and appeared dusty and the refrigerator did not work when you left the room so the food I put in there all warmed up. "Villa Angela is a very beautiful hotel and it sits high up above Taormina in the mountains with incredible views of Mount Etna, and the Harbour. Everything was very clean, well kept and luxurious. The restaurant was delicious and the staff extra helpful. The pool was amazing. Truly a five star experience!"

"Definitely needs refurbishing. Old fashioned keys, no room safe, window security very poor and an en-suite had basin that moved as you touched it. Balcony felt dirty and had another room’s outside light shining all night into my room. Some of the electric lights in my room did not work. The swimming pool was good with an amazing view (but seating area around it had little shade) even if noisey from traffic. Pool bar open until 7pm, but bar downstairs then not open. "Overall a good option. Clean hotel & friendly staff. The rooms are dated, but kept well. The hotel restaurant is lovely with great service and good food. Breakfast and dinner sampled and it also has a brilliant view out over to sicily to add to your enjoyment. Easy location, just off the seafront. I'd definitely recommend"
