This is a great option if you are overnighting near the Auckland Airport. The shuttle was quick and efficient, the rooms are functional (but not fancy), and the onsite restaurant had plenty of options for drinks/dining.

If you enjoy emergency Govt housing vibes and a 60s toilet block asthetic then this place is for you. Lets be clear its cheap but should be cheaper. Its a dump. The locals congregate in the pokie room investing there Govt income or chain smoke outside between bets. This palace is advertised as 4 star. How it achieved or keeps this rating is a mystery to this particular victim. The shuttle service and staff were good. They can only work with what they have. Avoid.

The hotel is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable for a short stay. The room is big, good bed, coffee/tea and fridge. The location u Is questionable-about 20 min in the evening, 10 min 5.00am. The free airport shuttle is fine (you have to ring the hotel on arrival, which is problem if you just arrived from abroad and don’t have NZ sim card. They should use whatsapp. OleAw note that you are dropped off far away from the international departures and allow 10-15 min walk to the terminal. It was a good stay for the price, but will try another airport hotel next time.
