2/10 Terrible

"Hotel was fine, housekeeping was great and some valet was friendly (day staff). Night shift people at the front… I would say probably the worst customer service since we arrived. I booked for a night and one day and they still asked us to checkout at 11. There was no talking through to them. Don’t work customer service if you don’t like talking to people. They offered 0 help. Couldn’t answer questions and the manager was worse than the two front desk ladies. He was disrespectful and rude. My friend actually recommended us to stay there and when they saw how completely bad the service was he felt so bad because his previous experience was nothing like that."

"Unfortunately our visit didn’t start out great. The phone in the room was ripped out if the wall. The fridge didn’t work. The tv remote was missing. We were promptly shown 4 other rooms with working phone/tv/fridge but sane run down look. The pictures that were listed of the property on the website is overly AI glossed over. The property is run down and needs major maintenance. The walls had cracks in them. The wallpaper needed replacing in multiple spots. The pool had noticeably peeling plaster in the bottom and didn’t look sanitary. I can say the breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. Luckily we didn’t see bugs. The property was just in need of major updates and repair. The restaurant attached was awesome. The bartender who served us was very nice and the food was great!!"

"When I checked in the first room didnt have the pull out couch they refused to move my room until the confirmed with maintenance. Got moved up a floor into the correct room. From there the lights would randomly come on or go off. Im not talking throughout the day I mean 3am the light would come up the fan speed would increase. Get up turn it off just for it to come immediately back on. The lights from the pool area made 3am look like 6am. There are blinds but they dont block the light heavy curtains are needed. While you cant hear people talking next door or above/below you will hear every footsteps taken. The kids loved the pool. Id recommend you either spend less on a budget hotel or more or a condo/bnb."

"We found The Tommie to be a great experience as it is part of the same building as The Thompson hotel so you get the same amenities and service. Some people have said The Tommie has smaller rooms but we did not find that to be an issue as they were very nicely styled and adequate in size for us as a couple. The location is right in the heart of all the action so you don’t really need a car. Would definitely stay again."
