This was a lovely hotel in a great location. Just steps to the Grand Via and a short walk to the palace. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge staff was a great resource. Novotel Madrid Center
It is well located, the rooms are adequate, and the breakfast offers a lot of variety but it is very noisy.

Hotel Chamartin The One
The big plus of this hotel is it's proximity to Charmatin. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but the building and hardware was showing it's age. Regardless, it was still a great hotel to stay at in between a flight and a train.
