"We recently spent a week-long stay at the hotel, and were delighted with an upgrade to a panorama room, which offered truly amazing views. The breakfast selection was great with plenty of options. The hotel features three pools—one main pool and two for children—and generally has plenty of free sun beds. However, travelers visiting in October should be aware that the water can be very cold. We were disappointed that our kids spent little time in the water; we were told the pools could be heated, but that heating doesn't begin until later in the month. Service was largely excellent: about 90% of the staff were welcoming and nice, though a small portion seemed unenthusiastic. The Kids Club was a highlight—it's amazing and the staff were exceptionally friendly. If you're traveling with a stroller, note that the hotel is not ideally stroller-friendly. Getting to the beach, for instance, requires taking a longer, indirect route to avoid stairs. While the hotel offers a buggy service, it wasn't always a convenient solution with a stroller. The small beach promenade is pleasant for morning walks, but is very dark during the evening and could greatly benefit from additional lighting. We booked the half-board option, but don't recommend it. It essentially converts to a 65 euros per person allowance (drinks excluded) to be used at the on-site restaurants. We believe guests would likely save money by simply paying for meals as they go, rather than taking the half-board package. "

"Happy Village blew us out of the water! What an experience! The staff including Kate at the front desk and Jorge by the pool will ensure your stay is impeccable. Front desk and staff are at your call if needed and are very accommodating. Not only will they make your stay at the villa relaxing and pleasant but have tremendous insight into things to do around the increasingly popular, must-visit, Polis! The rooms were beyond great. Local mosaics in bathroom and around the room. Greeted with some fresh local fruit and wine to boot! The pool at the Center of the property boasts the Greek Cyclades vibe being surrounded by white properties with hints of blue. Further, the location is great with it being in a very friendly neighborhood and ideally located near many restaurants, bars, cafes, and attractions. We do not post many reviews but our stay here was impeccable and get that we had to drop a 5 star with regards to the staff and this newly modeled villa resort! Absolutely a must stay if visiting Polis, we will be back!"
