Beautiful retreat. Stunning views and relaxed atmosphere Breakfast was delicious and filling. Room was clean and fully stocked with tea/coffee, treats. The bath was also fully stocked. The grounds were lovely. Staff was kind and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay

,Location is stunning, the hotel building rooms etc is excellent. But a big let down was the food….. it was ok but let’s down the whole experience down. They need a top chef to deliver a high quality menu.

I booked here for hotel only on my way through town. For the rates they charge it was not what I was expecting, it fell flat for me. I wasn't allowed to use the pool, staff were dragging bins outside of my window loudly until 10:45pm. My view was bins. I was told the only rooms with a view were the cottages. The room was mediocre, it was clean but basic. The service in the restaurant was great, the food was okay but nothing extraordinary. A heads up you might expect a bit more for the cost of staying here.

Stunning location, really luxurious experience. Gorgeous, comfortable king size bed. Huge bathroom with walk in shower. Fabulous breakfast made to order which is such a welcome change from the usual buffet style that most hotels nowadays offer.

The room had several maintenance issues. A coar hook fell off the wall, a bedside light was loose, the towel holder was loose, there were several well established cobwebs above the curtain rail, there was mould on the rubber shower mat and the bottom of the bathroom door was mouldy/damp. Very disappointing considering the price paid.

Would highly recommend a stay at the Salthouse and would definitely encourage you to also book the thermal suite/spa. We had a great stay from start to finish. Staff are friendly and helpful, the property is beautiful and squeaky clean, the location is out of this world. We had lovely sunny weather which probably helped but we felt like we had left NI for abroad. We had lunch in the restaurant and the food was excellent, would definitely recommend the honeycomb ice cream sundae! And we had breakfast included in our stay which was really special with amazing food. We will definitely be back.

We had a very relaxing break at the Salthouse. The scenery and hotel are absolutely beautiful! All of staff were very friendly and attentive. We ate in the Look Out on both evenings and my husband and myself agreed that it was the best meal we have eaten in along time! Can’t wait to return!

We had a very pleasant stay in a classic room. The room was very comfortable, the only drawback being the sound of water discharges from the room above, through adjacent pipework. Dining room and food was excellent. Staff were excellent. Our room had a view over the car park, which was probably one of the better views! The hotel was pleasantly situated close to town with lovely views from the public spaces. Beautiful courtyard area with plenty of outdoor seating. Enjoyed our stay.

Room was very big and we slept well. The negative would be the poor water pressure in the shower.breakfast good and well presented and cooked fresh. Food in the pasta/pizza restaurant was just ok, I wouldn’t use it again. We will be back to the venue.

Disappointed to learn on arrival that hotel guests had to pay an additional £45 EACH to use the spa/pool. Guests can also only use the pool and spa after 3pm! (Pre 3pm is for paying day-guests). Also don’t take your kids here, pool is over 16s only. Hotel seems to be concentrating on day-spa visitors and not looking after overnight guests. Left feeling disappointed.
