"Hotel was a perfect location. Close to everything but far enough away so you don’t hear when the bars cleared out. Staff was exceptional. Dry friendly and helpful. Only flaw of the stay would be that the bathroom tub had cigarette or candle burns on it. A little surprising. Amenities - restaurant, and bar were great."

"The pros: location and the staff were excellent. Cons: The water pressure in the shower so low I can’t even come up with a g-rated description that captures it. I really don’t know how they kept it so low - while still having something come out. And what came out was cold. There was not hot water at all. The good news - it was the hottest day in Galway and the room was as hot as outside (no a/c) but thankfully - I could sit in front of the provided fan after my freezing dribbley shower and cool off."

"The room and bathroom were clean. The kitchen was clean and there were plenty of dishes, cutlery etc. Staff were quite helpful at checkin. There is a Tesco and Lidl closeby and a couple of restaurants across the road. There is one right in the building too, but it only opens Fridays to Sundays in the summer, I believe. The city centre is at walkable distance. If not, the 407 back and forth from Terryland Retail Park is convenient (buses can be erratic and often late so check the timetables)."

"Overall, a good hotel in Galway, situated in the Salthill Promenade, directly across from the ocean. Hotel is getting dated. Restaurant options are limited and you need to walk another 5-10 mins to find anything else. Rooms are small-ish but not terrible. No AC. Parking is easy and ample available. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Pool is small but fine for kids. Swim caps are required."
