"Our stay at the InterContinental Mauritius Resort was absolutely exceptional and one of the best family vacations we have ever had. From arrival to departure, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel welcome and truly cared for. Special thanks to Khushi at check-in for the smooth welcome, and Arun for his warm greetings and help with luggage. Dining was a major highlight. As vegetarians, we were extremely impressed by the variety, freshness, and quality of food. In our opinion, this is probably the best 5-star resort in Mauritius for vegetarians. Huge thanks to chefs Surya, Suresh, and especially Jaywantee for the outstanding food and hospitality. Special mention to Swapnali at Veda for her wonderful service. A very special heartfelt thank you to Vimla at Senso Buffet for her exceptional service, kindness, and attentiveness every day—she truly made our stay memorable. Thanks also to Moupiya, Ajay, Issen, Naveen, Sajpal, Govinda, Hareesh, Dipesh, Reshma, and RamGopal for excellent buffet service. The spa with Purnima, Anjanee, and Danish was relaxing and excellent. Greg at beach towels was always helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Reshma, Joella, and Brenda from Kids Club for taking such great care of our children. Reshma went above and beyond to keep my son happy and engaged; really appreciate it. An amazing resort with outstanding people, food, and memories—we can’t wait to return!"

"The resort feels very much like it is run for the shareholders not the guests. The grounds and facilities are well maintained but if you actually want to use them, you'll likely be disappointed. Most activities required multiple days notice or just got taken off the menu with a poor excuse. We were half board and were supposed to be able to dine at the beach restaurant. We tried multiple times and later found out that they don't let many guests eat there, they hold the tables for walk ins. This is why it is mainly empty when they say that they don't have any space. Random charges were applied to our bill and they also gave it in euros with a bad rate. This was corrected but is typical of the wallet squeeze. Drinks were expensive and it felt like staff were only really interested if you were spending a lot on extras."

"Pros-the property and rooms were clean Staff members were professional, attentative, helpful, hard working and polite at all times Good quality of food and night shows (ABBA was spectacular!) Cons - the gym is small and lacks toilet facilities. Lack of designated spaces for smokers, therefore we were exposed to second hand smoking! Lack of recycle receptacles in rooms and throughout the property."

"Room was perfect with lovely sea views and a large bathroom with a bath with sea views - bathroom does need a little updating but we didn't notice it. Location of hotel was excllent with beautiful views of Le Morne and the lagoon"

"From check in to the first night, the rating was 0/10. There was an issue with the room assigned to us and were told by a member of staff , that is your room. When the night manager was made aware of the problem, he started the ball rolling to provide an alternate room. Next morning, I was impressed that both the manager and assistant manager, took charge of the problem and relocated us to a different upgraded room. From then on it was 10/10. Room was clean, spacious, grounds very well maintained, breakfast and dinner buffets offered plenty of varied dishes. Well kept swimming pools, including an adult only one. Plenty of non motorised water equipment and an added bonus is that they offer free boat trips to a great snorkelling area, as well as free glass bottom boat trips. Dining and housekeeping staff all very friendly but special thanks to Vu, Vishay, and Stephan in conjunction with the Manager for making it such a enjoyable stay."

"We had a magical stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and kind and went above and beyond to make our stay so special. The rooms, grounds and pool are stunning and the food was delicious."

"Locations was good, room was clean, but lots of ants and lizards around the rooms, staff were friendly, but lots of restrictions, my daughter came to visit I paid extra charges for few hours, food was included in our package but they charge for water and all other non alcoholic beverages"
