"The hotel looks nice but that’s about the only good thing I can say about the hotel. When we got our room, there was hair in the shower and on the shower head. The bathroom door does not lock or provide any privacy as anyone in the room can hear everything. The shower only has a half wall so water gets all over the floor. The staff (in particular Joanna, Sandi and Nikoleta) were so helpful and friendly and made our holiday even better with lots of advice and recommendations (thank you Joanna!). "We had a great stay at Villa d'Irene on our last night in Greece. George picked us up and drove us back to the airport (for a fee) and was super helpful and accommodating. They are used to people just staying for a short time between flights, and he had great recommendations for the neighborhood. Our kids loved spending the morning playing at the pool before we headed to the airport to catch our flight."

"The apartment works for a quick stay. It is not luxurious and it has bare minimum toiletries. A 15min drive from the airport with a restaurant abd grocery store within a 2 min walk. I did not like that if you stay on the ground floor your access is from the side door that goes to the street and if you book on a high floor with 2 rooms, some do not have elevator access. "This is not a traditional hotel in the sense that there's no front lobby staffed 24/7. It's a collection of rooms run I gather by a family. I arrived early and had to pay a bit additional to check in and wait until someone arrived (about 20 minutes) to get into the room. The room was small, but quite comfortable with a fridge and small kitchenette. I was even able to log into my Netflix on the TV, which was nice because there are no English channels. "If you need to spend a night between planes in Athens - this is a fantastic place to spend it. First of all, we were OUR people. No problem with checking in after 11PM! There were enough comfy beds for all of us. AC was perfect. There is a Nespresso capsule machine and plenty of capsules. Little snacks. Everything you need. Excellent internet. A lovely outside sitting area. A 15 minute drive to the airport! (which doesn't make the ride cheap, BTW) Truly excellent!"
