We loved staying in the place which is conveniently located, with 3 BTS Skytrain stations and Sathorn Pier at walking distance. For Indians, this location is perfect, as the Indian temple and several Indian restaurants are close by. The morning market, opp Wat Khaek is amazing for street food and fruits, at affordable prices. The campus itself was enchanting, with a nice old world charm. The architecture is interesting, and supposedly adapted from traditional styles of Northern Thailand. Silom Village Inn, should actually be marketed as a Hertiage Resort, rather than a hotel. You will find boards describing the history of how this place was started 100 years back, and how they continue to have activities to promote and sustain Thai culture. The staff is very kind and always ready to help. Some of the modern, newer rooms which are on the other part of the campus may not be accessible by lift - if you have specific requirement for lift, please mention it at the reception while checkin, and they will accommodate you in the rooms which are lift-accessible, which is what they did for us. Inside the campus, there's a small fish pond and a big fig tree, which is home to a few birds. If you are a birdwatcher new to Thailand, you may get a few new species right on this fig tree - birds like Plaintive Cuckoo, Yellow-vented Bulbul, Germain's swift, Ashy Drongos, Olive backed Sunbirds etc. were what we spotted here. In all, an amazing place with character.

I'm not a fan of fancy hotels, extraordinary with its comforts but completely isolated from the local culture and environment. Silom Village, while it could use a bit of sprucing up, inside and out, ensures you feel like you're in Bangkok: motel-like (door opens to the outdoors), never more than a floor or two off the ground, no one hounds you with services you don't need, is walking distance to transportation, Lumpini Park, all sorts of coffees, Wat Kaek and its mesmerizing song, a fantastic morning market, and a variety of indoor and outdoor restaurants. I enjoyed street Thai, Indian, and Hong Kong food in my short visit.

Die Häuser von einem altenThai Dorf wurden aus dem Norden wurden hierher transferiert and bilden ein wundervolles Ensemble mit Hotel Restaurant und kleinen Geschäften. Das Ganze ist allerdings in die Jahre gekommen undbenötigt etwas mehr Glanz. Durchaus empfehlenswert für den kleinen Geldbeutel

Feeling springs trough mattress. Bed mites. Asked sheets to be changed. They sprayed bed but just turned the bed cover instead of changing. So fighting bites the entire stay. Good location.

Bad experience, rude staff and dirty room...
Horrible place to stay. Very dirty to the point I did not want to touch anything in the room. The housekeeper does a very bad job cleaning the room. Please dont stay there. There is better option in BKK.

The locatoin is great. It was an old style hotel room about 30 years ago. Wifi in room was poor. If these are not the expectation, it was okay.

立地はいいのですが、設備が古くメンテナンスもいまいち。レストランやお土産ショップで利益が得られるからかな？最初の部屋はエアコンは壊れてる、冷蔵庫も壊れてるでした。

I like the location but I do not like the condition of the rooms. The ceilings leak water when it rains and the ac freezes up in our first room - they had to move us.

Great location but rooms are very shabby and run down. Mold and water rot everywhere, peeling wall paper. ACs freeze up and do not cool rooms very well.

We strayed in Bangkok, on and off for 4 weeks, visiting Thailand and Cambodia. We had arranged to stay at Silom Village Inn ,recommended by family who also have stayed there, Our plan was while in Bangkok, we would stay at the Silom Village Inn as it is central to many things here. As with most plans, there are changes and additions, When we needed to call and add on additional days, the desk people were always very accomidating courteous and professional. If we needed help moving or storing luggage, just ask, they always were there to help. The area is very busy urban but feels pretty safe to walk around but we were not out too late, If you stay and want the Bangkok breakfast experience, there is a street market 2 blocks down that we enjoyed every morning we could walk there and find breakfast, or some tasty pastries, fruits to take along on our travels. Great photo ops too.
