Looks can be deceiving
The lobby looks amazing big that’s what it attracted me to book this hotel. The carpet hall, the elevator carpet and the room carpet was very old and DIRTY!!! Plus all furniture was old and ugly!!!

This was a grand hotel in prime location. It has been sold and the last guests checked out 30 December 2021. I have heard 2 stories - 1 -it will be renovated; 2- it will be torn down to build condos. There are some lovely decorative pieces I hope will be saved.

Ser flott ut men är ganska slitet. Luftkonditioneringen blåste rätt på sängarna. Internet helt kass. Floppar ut tittsom tätt. Frukosten i ett litet café med bedrövlig service. Poolen mycket positivt, samt förvaringsskåp med belysning och manöverpanelen för ljus och AC

Leider ist das Hotel nach ca.2 Jahre Covid etwas heruntergekommen. Personal fehlt und beim Frühstück gab es keine Auswahl. Aber dafür war es sehr billig, und die Lage ist sehr gut .

Stay away very crappy hotel .
Aircon not working restaurant not open . Pool not clean . Room dirty . Very bad hotel . Not up to date . Poor internet . And forget tv no Chanel’s to watch not even news . Don’t beleave to photos not up to date .

Very bad condition room. Wall was pain was coming off. Broken shower head, stain wall, door and carpet. I had to leave after the first night even I had 2 nights reservation. Never go back there again.

老舗のホテル
バンコクの中心部・スリウォン通り沿いにある11階建ての老舗ホテル。1985年に開館というバンコクでも古株に属するホテルであり、80～90年代当時にかけてはタイ旅行のガイドブックにも高級ホテルのひとつとして上位ランクで紹介されていた。ホテルの外観やロビー周りの重厚感のある雰囲気が昔日の時代背景を感じさせるが、近代化したバンコクの町並みに染まらず当ホテルのアイデンティーを威風堂々と主張しているところが素晴らしい。客室は築年数相応の老朽化が進んでいるものの、快適装備は整っており繁華街やコンビニにもほど近い便利なロケーションと相俟って使い勝手は悪くない。バンコクの一等地でありながら専用の駐車場も充実している点はもっと評価されても良いと思う。難点は…客室・浴室ともに清掃が徹底されていないところ。特に浴室内の水垢汚れ・異臭源の除去については顧客目線での対応を心掛けていただきたい。

手頃な老舗良質ホテル
２年前にも宿泊しましたが改装したのか部屋は木目調の黄色いトーンからパープルカラーを基調としたモダンなスタイルに変わっていました。多少古いホテルですがロビーの充実度、レストラン、ホスピタリティ全て良質なので値段に対して質は高いです。ただ前のタイっぽい部屋のスタイルの方が好きだった。

コロナ禍の非常事態宣言中に宿泊。入口にポーターやベルボーイはおらず、荷物を自分で部屋まで持っていった。フロントは制服ではなく各々で別の服装をしておりアルバイトが業務を行っている感じがした。部屋はタイ式のウォシュレットがなかったのが残念。レストラン、プールも閉鎖。因みに外のバー、飲食店の持ち帰りやデリバリーを除きマッサージも全てクローズ。私はビジネスでやむを得ず訪タイしたが、この時期に観光での訪タイは絶対にやめるべき。

整體cp值高，有機會會再來。
住宿4樓，浴室重新裝修過，有浴缸、半隔間淋浴，整體還算整潔乾淨，一張大床，以這個價格來說非常划算了。

The property had remodeled, looks amazing . Only negative part, the hallway to the bedroom had a smell of cigarettes even though there is sign all over stating no smoking. But the first couple days the room smelled liked 2nd air smoke...

GREAT value
I had booked a room for a night at double the price and regret that I didn’t stay here first. Old world charm really well maintained. The furnishings in my room were not new, and I loved them. It looked like a set from a 1970’s TV drama, but everything is absolutely just like new, cleaned and well maintained. My room wasn’t quite ready when I arrived so they allowed me to swim in the pool while I waited. The changing rooms near the pool were clean and the pool was sparking clean. Such a great hour and a half in the sun. And no one else was there, save for one guy who left a little after I arrived. Had the pool to myself. Very nice. I’m definitely going to go back there next time. I hope nothing changes.

Eigentlich ist das Tawana seit Jahrzehnten unser Domizil in Bangkok. Leider hatten wir beim letzten Besuch kein Glück mit dem Zimmer. Zweimal war die Toilette verstopft, was jeweils behoben wurde, jedoch nicht sehr angenehm war. Die Reklamation hinsichtlich der "flackernden" Elektrik blieb fünf Tage unbearbeitet.

古い割には少し料金は高め
ホテル自体は大きくて安心感は有りますが、古くて昔のグランドホテルって感じです。立地が良いのでホテル近くの探索は楽です。ホテル全体から考えると割り高な感じです。

バンコクに来る時は大抵このホテル。 朝食が毎回同じなのが難点と思っていたが、今回は少し変わって多少新鮮だった。 あとは値段相応以上のホテル。古いが、施設もサービスも及第点

浴槽の壁から室内側に水が染み出ていた。 エレベーターの数が少ない。（ピーク時はなかなか降りてこれない） ボーイの対応は良かった。
