Dairy cows at Dongray Hall The cows go out after early morning milking and take the air and have a lie down, later they can go back inside to feed on silage, some in the distance are heading that way. The feed value of grass in late October is virtually nil but the cows like to eat some and have a walk around.

Track leading to Dongray Hall Early morning mist in the valley is burning off. Look at those hedges and great trees.

New access road at Cloy Hall Dairy. Cloy Hall dairy is a large dairy farm consisting mainly modern dairy buildings. Pressure on the small rural roads has led to the installation of a new access road for the cows. The underbed for the road is tile waste from the Ruabon Tile Works at Johnstown, ( See SJ3146 )

Afon Dyfrdwy at The Craig. Having meandered around Bangor-is-y-coed the river moves off northwards to meander its way along the English / Welsh border towards Holt.

Service, breakfast , spa and hotel are great. We just initially ended up with a bad room, that hadn’t been done up and was very dated and shabby. Reception moved us to a better room on 2nd day.
