Great location and amazing views of the harbor. Just steps away food and entertainment. Great breakfast ( lunch & dinner) options at on-site restaurant. Pools & hot tubs are awesome.

Maine Tour July 2021
Beautiful property connected to the bar harbor Club with access to two pools. Our room was lovely and large...lots of room for 4 of us. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Loved our stay here.

We had a great stay at the hotel. The location is close to everything. We were able to walk to most of our outings, restaurants and shops. It’s so good not to deal with parking. Acadia is only 5 minutes drive from hotel.

This is a great place to stay in Bar Harbor, with easy access to Acadia. Easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor for shopping and dining. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms. The bed was a little stiff, but that was the only complaint about the room.

We liked location. We got bad referrals from desk as to where to eat. Two worst meals during the stay where recommended by Harborside staff.

Thank You Harborside!
We originally booked Harborside because of the proximity to Acadia and the pet friendly accommodations, but were pleasantly surprised to also find the hotel conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. More than anything, we cannot say enough good things about the staff. After accidentally leaving a bag filled with important items, the manager of the hotel drove halfway to Portland (1.5 hours away!) to personally deliver the bag that same night at 11pm. We were so incredibly fortunate and touched by her kindness and would recommend Harborside a thousand times just because of her!! Thank you!!

The property is a nice getaway. It’s a very clean, and beautiful hotel. It’s close to restaurants, shops and Acadia national park.

GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT!
Nice hotel but a bit off the mark. No amenities or extras in the room. One hot tub was cold. Will choose elsewher if we go back to Bar Harbor. A bit overpriced.

Terrible customer service
We booked 2 queen beds for our family. They told us that hotels.com cancelled our reservation and they gave our room away. I could clearly see the valid reservation on the app. They put us in the abandoned wedding pavilion. The room has not been remodelled for many many years. I asked for the sheets for the sofa bed. Then they said they would move us to a real room. They never gave us 2 queen beds. They "upgraded" us to a king and sofa bed. The mattress on a sofa bed is very thin. If you ever slept on a sofa bed you would never call it an upgrade. Then we had to schedule housekeeping every day, they no longer clean unless you ask for it. I attached the picture of the bed after the housekeeping visit. There is a daily resort fee for an outdoor pools. Not very useful in 45F weather. I am still waiting for a call from the hotel management.

Great location and nice hotel but they nickel and dime you. Charging 75$ per day vs per stay as most hotels and charge you for 3.75$ for small coffe (free in most hotels)

Excellent service
The staff really made our experience excellent. Especially Marshall and Jake were super helpful & kind and made our trip and stay much better. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, we had front pool view, the view from the back pool is amazing with a private beach access (tiny but nice and secluded). The hotel is right by the Harbor and by all the restaurants/shops, short ride to the park (also by the shuttle if you don’t have a car).

Wonderful long weekend in Bar Harbor. The Harborside hotel was just amazing. Room was huge, clean and comfy. The Pools/Hot Tubs exceptional. Location cant be beaten. Staff polite. If your going to Bar Harbor for a special weekend away then id highly recommend staying here and doing the weekend right

Low Tide Adventure at Sunset
Price...y, but walking distance to everything downtown. Great waterfront location on the harbor and close to all the adventures in town...food, shopping, and just plain fun. Take the walk across the harbor at low tide to enjoy the sunset.
