This was at a great location but the weirdest and worst place we have ever stayed. Very dirty rooms and no help from the staff whatsoever.

Welcome to a 1950s motel experience.. back when mattresses felt like they were cardboard? Clean, at least. Lobby coffe e only..see to the bottom of the cup. Count the cars on the highway to help get to sleep. Amusing one-nighter. Heater/AC didn't work.

This was a great place for the weekend to have a clean place to sleep. The AC worked great in the room and the sheet were clean bathroom was nice. Good stay

It is a older motel with some rooms remodeled. Great to put your head down for the night. We only stayed 1 night, on arrival got changed and went out, came back to sleep and leave first thing in the AM. Suited my needs

When we booked the motel, we knew full well that it is going to be a cheap stay, but we did not expect that it was as bad as we saw. The room feels very unclean, the towels are years old and very thin, you can see through the threads. The door is not sealed, you can see lights coming through the gaps, and hear cars running on highway next to the motel. Walls are very thin, and cannot hold temperature well. Insects and spiders can be seen inside the house, and I saw one dead cockroach. Electric plugs are very old and loose, my charger cannot stay plugged in, you have to constantly hold the charger. There is no appliance, such as microwave, or water kittle, coffee machine etc. Overall, the motel is very poorly run.

It is what it is. An inexpensive nights stay in a tourist area. If you remember that you won't be disappointed in the sloping floor or sink falling off the wall.

No hot water!!! Tried taking a shower at 10:30 at night water was ice cold! This place is a dump! Bed is super uncomfortable. Place should be shut down!!

5/5 stars as the room was clean, the air conditioner worked well and made for a comfortable place to sleep, and we had plenty of hot water for showering. We booked based on price as we intended on hiking Acadia and sightseeing and spending little time in the room. The Robbins motel is definitely older and out of date compared to other hotels I've stayed at, but was immaculate and perfect for what we needed, a place to shower and sleep. If you're planning on grocery shopping, or bringing leftovers back from restaurants, bring a cooler as the rooms did not have refrigerators (not advertised though so totally fair, just a miss on my planning). The office has a microwave and a nice, large ice machine. We flew in from out of state and I would have checked a cooler had I planned better. The BBQ place across the street was very good. Bar harbor was very busy (parking a challenge, and very busy place in general) so having a nice place to eat and not having to try to drive into Bar Harbor was convenient. Also was very near a park entrance to Acadia which made for quick trips into the park or back to rest after hiking very convenient.

Okay people are dramatic. It's not that bad. I booked this place last minute on the 4th of July for $120 after fees. I was reading reviews and you'd think this place would be a blood stained rat infested shole. Nope it was a basic motel with all you need. Yes the rooms are small, yes the shower is small. I'm 6 foot 2 175 pounds and fit just fine in the shower so unless you are a fat slob you will be okay. Cold AC, hotel shower, 200 channels, and an alright CLEAN bed. You people are so dramatic. Thank you Motel Robbins for a last minute gem.

I paid $148.oo on Expedia and when we arrived we were put into the oldest rooms in the original part of the hotel. I am not kidding, this section was one step above sleeping on the streets. This place should be torn down ASAP! Expedia needs to send someone to the hotels they recommend before putting them on their site. There are a few rooms in their main building that they have up graded that are tiny but livable. The old section should be TORN down. We requested a room in their main building and they told us we would have to pay more. EXPEDIA this is a SCAM! please check it out and do the right thing for your customers. I normally do 3 to 4 star hotels and have a reality of what to expect but this is so ridiculous.
