"Very pleasant stay for 1 night attending a business meeting locally. They can use an extra pair of hands behind the bar for the early hours of the evening when there was a bit of a queue. Otherwise couldn't fault the place and will gladly be back again."

"The standard double room was much smaller than expected, and the bed was two singles pushed together with a thin double topper, which made the bed very uncomfortable and lumpy. We told reception after the first night and they arranged for a better topper to be put on. If the standard double was this small then the small double must have been tiny. "This hotel really did represent value for money on a weekend where the city was busy due to a famous comedian performing. The hotel is central and only a five minute walk from the train station. Staff helpful, communal spaces lovely for a drink in the evening. Room was roomy shower powerful with lovely toiletries provided - only one bath towel provided for 2 of us but that will have been an oversight and guess what we coped. "Lovely hotel, our room looked onto the Victoria Quays and had a balcony. Bed super comfortable, well appointed bathroom, great shower, nice toiletries. Leggero nespresso coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer. Adjustable rainbow colours around bed head is a nice touch. Breakfast in the Tavern is fab, friendly and helpful staff, nice bar, 15 mins walk to the Crucible, much of the way is newly paved, pedestrianised path with wild flowers and outdoor seats.
