Went to Louisiana for a birthday trip. Was expecting a nice hotel to stay at. When my mother and I had to use the restroom at anytime there was always a really loud noise. It was very unpleasant and made me never want to stay in the restroom for too long. Kind of ruined my birthday trip.

Staff was courteous however we requested a quiet room/floor while watching a large family eating pizza and wings laying all over the floors and furniture in the lobby. We were placed in a room off the elevator. Kids racing in the hallway was a great way to fall asleep after making an 8 hour drive.

The staff member that check me in charged me twice because she stated Expedia’s card was declined. After speaking with two other staff members it was determined that the staff member did not take off the tax causing the card to decline. After paying at the hotel it was discovered that the room was $30 cheaper then what I paid with Expedia.

Our stay at the Tru by Hilton was great! The room was clean & the staff was amazing! They were very attentive in accommodating us, as our pre selected room wasn’t available when we were ready to check-in. They were able to offer me another room just minutes later so that we didn’t have to sit around in the lobby. I would choose to stay here when I’m in the area again.
