"The hotel advertises the fact that they have a 2 year plan for refurbishment etc and state that the rooms are professionally cleaned and then sealed. We didn't find any evidence of this, either from the cleaning point or the sealing of the room, and would point out that the "professional cleaners" may want to buy a new vacuum cleaner because the one they are using doesn't pick up very well from the carpet. On arrival at the room we noticed that there was just one solitary teabag, barely enough...

"It’s a nice small inn for staying a couple of nights. The room must be recently renovated with a nice bathroom. The only surprise was that I booked with breakfast but the hotel only provided a simple breakfast ; coffee and toast. Otherwise you need to pay extra. I wish they stayed more information on their booking information regarding the breakfast options. To me it’s a little bit too cheap for them to operate their business in this way."

"The general cleanliness and condition of this hotel was poor. The floor of the room was sloping and was quite dissorientating when walking into the bathroom. In the bathroom, the shower curtain was stained and looked unclean. The wastebin looked very poor with a rusted lid. Bathroom floor not very clean and the grouting was missing from the corners of the bath. The paint was peeling of the inside of the windowsill. In the room, the kettle was grubby and had to be washed before use, the glasses...

"We spent a lovely night at the B and B. Everything was perfect and they even left a G and T and beer in the fridge for us to enjoy and fresh milk in a jug. The beds were extremely comfortable and the water piping hot. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and our hosts could not have been more welcoming We will return again"

The very few Staff that were there (if you could find them) were lovely, but I couldn’t overcome the feeling that the place had been deserted and left to rot. "This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted.
