"We tried to check in before 4 pm and told our room was not ready. we stayed in the lobby and was not told room was ready until we got in long line and got checked in around 5. We were also told to get in the TSA line 4 hours early. That meant we needed to get in the line around 1 AM. We tried to cancel our room and would not be given our money back. We stayed in the room and tried to go to sleep. The window left in way too much light. The door let in way too much light. The room was so cold we needed to turn up the heat. The place was really loud. i would not recomend ever staying here"

"We loved our stay! The one bedroom with kitchen was perfect for our family of 4. Pool was big with enough space for everyone. Beach was gorgeous, pretty wavy/dangerous for swimming if untrained. Activities were great, workout area was great and never too busy. Restaurant was also good when we ate/drank there. We loved the ground floor room with walkout to pool area. Construction was a minor annoyance, not bad. They also had an issue with fire alarms going off at night- but did reimburse our resort fee for those days. Overall we would gladly stay again. "

"A little pricey but excellent hotel and service. The actual beach is really small, which was a little disappointing based on the pictures i had seen. Had to wait almost an hour after check in time (4PM) and had already been waiting for over an hour, but lots of people were also on the same boat."

"We had exceptional service in the pool area bar and Papaya Fernando and Pedro were absolutely fantastic, the first night there though we had a waiter ignore us for about 20 minutes after we sat down to have dinner and a cocktail finally my husband got up and went to the bartender and asked for drinks, then we finally ordered food, my husbands cheeseburger came out and he was finished eating and we were still waiting for my small pizza, we had to ask about the food and if they ordered it for me, I was going to sign up for the Marriott rewards program but this made me think about it and decided not to, we spoke to the manager and they were very kind we are not sure if we will go back"

"Impressive lobby and pool area. The ocean/beach area is run down and could be nice if they would rake it and spend an hour a day working on cleaning up the sand. The cement around the pool is chipping and hurts to walk on. An awesome free breakfast. We ate lunch 3 times from the pool bar and had dinner 4 times in the lobby. All meals were excellent. Room was big, but slightly dated (didn't bother us). We heard no noise of other rooms. We went mainly for a nice beach and nice pools. I would go back. Good for kids and very nice to have good food at the hotel for dinner. "
