This home was built in 1740. It is a beautiful unique property with exceptional hosts. The breakfast were so well prepared and delicious. Hosts were most welcoming.

It's hard to imagine a better way to explore Bayeux and the Normandy area than to stay for three nights with Gilles and Michael at their lovely small inn. We shall always recall their warm hospitality, helpful suggestions, delicious breakfasts, spacious grounds; and the interiors of the wonderful old home. We enjoyed our stay in Bayeux. Giles and Michael were welcoming hosts, sharing their knowledge of the area with us. The breakfast was terrific. It is conveniently located in Bayeux. My husband said Giles’ tart aux pomme was the best he had on our trip to France.

Not much more to say that hasn't already been said. A unique place to stay. Gorgeous and extensive gardens in back of a huge lovingly restored historic house with eclectic decorations throughout. My wife and I are seniors who preferred not to do stairs so we stayed on the ground floor next to the breakfast dining room. Many interesting furnishings in the spacious room with a very modern bathroom. And surprisingly quiet even if another couple or 2 began breakfast while we were still in our room. But I have to mention it was a bit chilly despite an electric heater on the other side of the room from the bed. Breakfasts were delicious with many items to choose without even getting up from the table. That makes it a 5 star B&B for sure. But what really sets it apart are the delightful hosts Gilles and Michael. They are full of information and good humor, making a stay there a truly unique and utterly joyful experience. We were sad we had to leave.

Loved our stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful three days at this bed and breakfast in August of 2025. The property is beautiful with whimsical decorations. Our room was large and clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was excellent and our hosts were very warm and welcoming. The house was very convenient to all of the attractions in Bayeux. You should stay here!

Gil and Michael are in a class of their own. The property is meticulously maintained. Beautiful and large spaces that feels like you are in a castle. Super clean and organized. The guys are extremely hospitable and charming. The location of the B&B is in center of the old town and yet you feel like you are in a chateaux in the countryside. Beautiful large gardens. We had a fabulous stay and felt that all of our needs were met as though we were at home. The breakfasts were extremely delicious and relaxing, and the garden was very beautiful and totally enhanced our stay. The hosts, Michael and Gilles made us feel right at home at their beautiful place. The gardens and the home were magnificent. They are very friendly and centrally located. We had access to a living room and a spacious garden with our room. They are very close to the meeting place for many tours and a laundromat is close too. This was an unexpected gem! We recommend it highly.

The perfect place at Bayeux

Michael and Gilles are wonderful hosts ! Everything perfect ! The house has a huge garden ! The parking is close to the house and you have access directly from it. The breakfast is wonderfully served.

Wonderful guest house

The property is a beautiful bed and breakfast (guest house) in a revamped old mansion. There are five rooms, ours was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Michael and Giles are wonderful hosts, friendly outgoing and fun. The (included) breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip to France, Giles is the chef and makes almost everything that is served from scratch. You will need to manoeuvre some stairs and be careful of some low ceilings and beams but I doubt there is a better place to stay in Bayeux.

Fantastiskt i bohemisk stil

En fantastisk vistelse. Gammal vacker byggnad. Stora rum med bohemisk inredning. Fantastiska värdar som gör allt för att göra vistelsen bra. Magisk frukost och om vädret är bra så är trädgården otroligt vacker att sitta i en stund. Kommer absolut tillbaka om vägarna bär mot Bayeux igen!!
