"Hotel seemed like it was recently renovated. Everything looked in top shape. The room (the most important thing) was very spacious, very clean! Not a fan of the bathtub in the bathroom but the cleanliness of it made up for it. Breakfast was meh, but once again, the food area very clean! Definitely will coming back!!"

"Room listings state they have curtains and they did not, rooms were very bright overnight. Pool needs rules better enforced. Two kids went underwater at no fault of anyone but neglectful parents that should have been physically in the pool with their young toddlers. Other families had to help rescue kids at no fault of the lifeguard but the rules definitely need to be enforced much better. "

"Pius - Oceanfront rooms at a GR8 price. Full kitchen, outside deck with a couple of chairs & table. Big, nice sitting area with sofa & chair. Nice, small restaurant & bar on-site, breakfast, lunch & dinner served. EZ beach access. Neg - Could have been cleaner, carpets, undersink cabinets. Bathroom was clean. On the weekend very noisy with lots of kids screaming, exotic birds screeching. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful beach getaway, skip the weekends. If you are a family...

"I enjoyed our view, ocean view is truly ocean view. Our room was cleaned, well maintained and modern. Hotel was clean, restaurants were easy to access and i really liked having the indoor pool. It has an outdoor one but on not so warm days having an indoor one is essential. Loved the kids section as well. "

"The restaurant was closed for construction. This location had a Starbucks that was closed as well, the staff couldn't even provide complimentary coffee in the morning while their food sources were shut down. Forced to walk off property to a fast food place for our morning coffee at these prices! Also charged us for parking in the hotel garage when it was 90% empty! $10 a night that Expedia did not list either."

"I can’t say enough about the staff at the Castle in the Sand. We had to move from another unrelated hotel in the area after a very poor experience and everyone we dealt with was so helpful. "
