"McMenamins Edgefield is an experience, and we've stayed there a number of times. The rooms, for the most part, are from another era (it used to be the county "poor farm"), but the grounds are spectacular, the heated outdoor pool is stunning at night. "The Shuttle to and from the hotel was very convenient. The employees all seemed nice. The shower had fantastic hot water. Which helped when I had to clean it the first night. Also the air conditioning/heater worked well. Outside of that it was alot of money wasted, cold eggs, dirty floors, no sanitizer for the equipment in the gym, no towels anywhere, pool, gym. The ratings and pictures are definitely not what it really is."

"A few pros and several cons with this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. However, we couldn't get through to the hotel for the shuttle and had to use Uber from the airport. Breakfast was an additional $16/person. Biggest issue was the cleanliness. We discovered ants in our room in the morning, for which the hotel offered a 15% refund. Overall we're probably not staying here again."

"Very kind staff, wonderful price for the stay, lovely breakfast of hot cereal, bananas, pancakes and syrup, and yogurt, coffee and Tea 5-9a.m. Jawfish and Elmers Restaurants an easy walk away. It's an old motel with plenty of more life just like 80 year old me. Public bus right at the end of the driveway and Airport Shuttle!"

"The pool shower was broken, there was a bandaid in the pool, the bathroom was really small the door nearly hits the toilet."

"Close to the airport and calling for the shuttle for pickup and return to airport early next morning was seamless. The pool area looked great but we were on a 12 hour layover overnight and unfortunately couldn't use it. Our room overlooked the pool area and had a patio. There was a restaurant right next door to this hotel and that was very convenient for us weary travelers. I would book this again."

"We were allocated a disability room despite being able bodied and booking months ahead. That was not a problem initially as it was just 1 night. When I went to shower we found the shower head was not held by the clamp and very low. It would not stay in shower position. My hubby held it for me so I could shower. The nozzles were spraying sideways so I went to rub the silicon to straighten them but noticed the shower head was covered in a brown substance. It was nasty. I requested to be moved....
