"My room had a wonderful sea view and balcony, which made it delightful. Of course the hotel is conveniently located straight across from the beach so it's easy to take a daily stroll on the sand. I booked a massage while I was at the hotel and that was very relaxing. I strongly recommend it! The breakfast is very mediocre, sadly. It would be asy to elevate this by including fresh-baked bread and some other locally made specialties, which must surely be available. My poached eggs on toast were...

"This is our 2nd time staying at De L'Etang. We like the comfortable & clean room, friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast options & delicious Greek food in the attached Taverna! Close to St Helier & bus routes. Wonderful outlook over the beach. When we next have a holiday in Jersey, we will happily book De L'Etang again."

"Room was dated, but very tidy and clean, pool facilities were okay, but in need of refurbishment. The sauna was out of order and the mini gym lacked a treadmill. We stayed in a family room, it could have done with more towel rails in the bathroom and a drying rack for when the weather is less agreeable. Otherwise, the staff were amazing and made our stay memorable and fantastic. The plentiful parking was a massive bonus, as was the included breakfast."

"Cracking room over looking the beach , clean n tidy and the maids did an excellent job with room service , the waiters , consierge , receptionists all very nice and very helpful , nothing was too much trouble , breakfast choices were very good my only gripe that the warming try’s were just that , warm I prefere food hot but all very tasty none the less , great place to stay "

"Hotel is in a great position in St Helier, check in was easy, the room was good however it was extremely hot, even with the window open as there was heat but no air con. Facilities were good, but in the Spa area the hot tub was not working nor the heated beds. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The only other problem was the room was not serviced, we were out until 2 pm then again for an hour from 3 but no sign of it being serviced."

"Nice traditional hotel. Lovely staff. Decor would benefit from an update. Fixtures , fittings and furnishings need a refresh. Didn’t like having 2 single duvets on a double bed. Breakfast is good- cooked to order - the same offerings every day. Pool quiet and pleasant but lacks changing facilities. "

"Room had some issues with air con vent misding a screw and hanging down which was fixed. Vent is bathroom did not work properly even after telling desk 3 times so bathroom steamed up every day after a shower. Food in restaurant was ok, never managed to use spa. Location was good, parking was ok but may be difficult in summer. Overall is a goid hotel with friendly staff"

"This place was head and shoulders above the Premier Inns in the UK. I use the chain for work fairly frequently and for pleasure occasionally so I have a good idea what to expect, most are OK, a few are better and a few are poor. This one in St Helier however was exceptional. The price was very reasonable. It was very clean and airy, the young staff were exceptionally helpful and very nice. The breakfast was well cooked.
