"This property is an old and historic home with 12 rooms. Room are well appointed, clean, and spacious. The pool is nice and there is a lounging area. Staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast is very good. If you ask for specific foods they will source them for you. We asked for kiwi, avocado and pastizzi and they were available next day. "Beautiful hotel in a great spot: ideal for exploring nearby Valletta with a shop and great little cafe a minute’s walk away. There is free tea/coffee/water throughout your stay and you can borrow beach towels if you venture to the coast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend."

"The San Karlu is a BEAUTIFUL hotel, right in the heart of Valleta. The staff were so friendly, rooftop pool was great to cool down in, and included breakfast was yummy. I would highly recommend lodging here during your stay in Malta. Thank you!"

"Best thing was the view of the water and Valetta The room was clean but extremely small. The air con could not be adjusted so it would get cold to leave it on at night but the room would heat up as soon as you turned it off. The hotel didn’t have its own pool, but shared the public pool across the road which the hotel offered for free if you were lucky enough to get a lounge and umbrella. Breakfast was very average. A bit expensive overall."
