"Booked online, it never said pool was closed. No microwave in the room when listed, breakfast wasn’t good. Tv didn't work and they came to fix it, but broke 20 mins later. Talked to management about our stay and to get room service in to clean floors, never cleaned floors and management gave me a run around about helping. writing down all the issues to help with a percentage off our stay and didn't follow through with it at checkout. Do not recommend, way over priced for the product. Can air bnb 3 mins away and have a way better experience for same price or cheaper. Awful stay, not accommodating."
"Conveniently located in downtown St. Joe overlooking Silver Beach. We had a room facing the city but it was easy to go out the front of the hotel and take advantage of the multiple seating areas across the street.
The city does a nice job of making the most of the bluff and turning it into a park like setting. We sat in one of the swinging benches and watch the beautiful sunset.
The room was a suite with a sitting area with a desk, full size sofa, TV, and a fridge. The bed was comfortable and had ample pillows.
The lobby was a bit confusing coming in front the front since you have to go up the stairs and to the right. Ample parking adjacent to the hotel. We stayed Sunday- Wednesday and was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open Monday and Tuesday so we never got to experience it. There is a nice continental breakfast that had the usual pastries, coffee, fruit, cereal, but also had bagels with a toaster and usually a hot option (ham n cheese croissant one on day and a quiche the other)
The hotel is from the 70’s or 80’s and you can only do so much to hide that fact. One of the elevators was out of order too but we didn’t seem to wait too long, but I think that was because the hotel was at far from 100% occupancy. It might’ve been more problematic is the hotel was full.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The walk ability to Silver Beach, the views, and the downtown shops are this hotels biggest upside."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Benton Harbor-St. Joseph, MI
8/10 Good
"The bathroom ceiling look like it had collapsed, and someone did a half way job spackling it up still look like it was gonna cave in. The air vents were all molded. The phone didn’t even have a cord when I tried to call for the desk to bring an extra blanket when I told the downstairs desk attendant that the phone didn’t even have a cord he nodded that he knew. the trimming around the window was molded and coming undone. It was very creepy. if I could’ve got my money back, I would’ve left as soon as I walked in. "
"This was a fantastic room at an amazing price. Very roomy, clean and a great bathroom. Loved the walk in shower. Highly recommend the Kankakee restaurant also."
