"Had a wonderful stay at the Stanford Hotel in San Francisco. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a cozy bed that made for a great night's sleep. "This was a good hotel to stay in and I would stay here again. The hotel is located on a busy street in "the city". It's like a downtown type area. I chose this hotel because of price, view of bay and cost for parking. Other hotels offer higher priced daily parking rates and no view of bay. The building is older, like most of them. The parking is soooo narrow (inside building parking)! Be prepared if you have an SUV or bigger car. The rooms are good, not great but good. They are clean, beds are comfy, AC worked well and towels are thick and big. The bathroom area is small and water pressure is not great (in shower). The view was nice, you could see the golden gate bridge if you reserve a bay view room but I only saw these rooms come with 2 queen beds, I would have liked to have a king bed for just my husband and I. The free breakfast offered is less than basic. Toast, waffle, small muffins, egg, fruit and sausage. I would have liked to see more, like other hotel chains have, example- bacon, hash browns, to go things like yogurt, juice and milk cartons or bottles, oatmeal with toppings. There is no gym and no pool- a negative. I would have liked to have both these things in a hotel. I also did not see laundry, I'm not sure if machines are available, although I did see a laundry bag in the closet (they may offer wash/fold service. Im not sure). Check in experience was great and staff was friendly. Also for transportation I would recommend waymo, lyft or uber."

"We were so lucky to choose the Handlery Hotel on our first visit to San Francisco. The location was perfect! Down the road from every kind of transit & most importantly, steps from the Nintendo Store! We had a two queen suite & to our surprise a sliding glass door that revealed a beautiful view of the city. Not quite a balcony, but very close & we loved it so much. There was even a vanity which came in handy with teenage girls. The hotel itself had two sections and we were in the Premier section. There was two flights of stairs to take with all our luggage & a vintage elevator that no one could figure out how to use, so up the stairs we went. At least at the top we got to walk by the heated, outdoor pool. We didn’t have time to enjoy it, but we saw other guests having a great time. The staff were friendly and polite and brought up extra amenities quickly when asked. We would 100% stay at this hotel again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
