"The Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt (hard name to remember!) by the Berlin Hauptbahnhof is excellent. Very convenient location, nice rooms and a great spa which is complimentary for hotel guests. I've stayed here twice, and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Berlin!"
"Hotel is well located and well resourced. Rooms were cleaned late in the day which was annoying but a first world problem but wanted to mention that it was after 4.30pm and by then after a day exploring we wanted fresh towels upon our return and coffee replaced. Had booked a superior room with twin beds but apparently that room style only has queen, did receive a phone call from the hotel desk about it after providing a review on Expedia re check in , but was phoned at 9.30pm so thought that was odd time to call, they did offer to move us, but for one night it was not worth it. Having said that the room outlook and size was great, and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others. We didn’t use the breakfast option , at 40 euro p/p I felt that was a tad expensive, but did enjoy a lovely meal at the bar. Overall the Radisson was great for our Berlin stay."
"We checked in to find the air conditioning broken in our room. At 5:30pm I called guest services who said they’d send maintenance. At 7pm I went and asked again in person at reception. At 9:30pm I called again. At 10pm I asked to speak to the manager. He found us a room with working aircon and moved us. He also offered free breakfast for our stay which was nice. The new room air con did work but not to the standard an Australian or American would expect so sleeping was difficult.
The beds are firm, the pillows floppy and flat. The shower is over the bath. The furniture is old.
Housekeeping left no towels for us on the Saturday and neither housekeeping nor guest services answered the phone so I had to ask in person. On Sunday we got one towel and no bath mat. On Monday we got one towel and no hand towels.
The facility and the service are really not up to Hilton standards. The breakfast restaurant was nice with a fair selection.
The location is ok, sterile and not in the heart of what Berlin has to offer. But it’s quiet and you can take the Ubahn. But if you didn’t leave the area you would think Berlin was Canberra."
"Fabulous hotel. Only one issue during the stay ... we had complimentary minibar and snacks as part of our deal, and these would be replenished every day. Sadly, this never happened and EVERY DAY we had to phone to front desk and arrange for the items to be replenished. Once could be an error .... 4 TIMES is poor.
Apart from this, the place was a delight to stay at."
"Only 20 minutes walk along the river from the train station.
The best choice of breakfast that we had ever seen.
Comfortable bed and very quiet room."
