"Right in the heart of the historical city of Matera you will find Cavoso Hotel. We stayed in one of the cave rooms which was much more airy and larger than I expected. The room had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The hotel gives you a choice of breakfast in your room or the dining area. We tried both and enjoyed the variety. "Nice spacious clean rooms. Bathroom had an excellent shower. Spectacular views from the patio/dining area. Friendly staff. The only negative was that our room was on the second floor and the elevator did not go there, so that if someone has difficulty walking, that room would not be suitable. A family member had a room on the 1st floor so there was no problem."
