"Excellent for a one night stop before flight. Beautiful apartments set into the hillside overlooking Souda Bay. Incredibly modern, new and super clean. Very spacious rooms, equipped with all the essentials and also outstanding views. Staff are absolutely wonderful. Nothing was an issue for them. The receptionist was incredibly accommodating with my requests and really lovely to deal with. Wonderful small pool area which again, has an incredible view of Souda bay and the mountains. Well...

"A great hotel in Chania! The communication with the host was great - quick responses and very friendly. The suite itself was beautiful, very clean and spacious! The beds and couch were super comfortable as well, felt very relaxed here. The only downside to the area is that it faces a school, and during the week is pretty loud most of the morning into the afternoon. Thankfully our suite had a balcony on the opposite side of the room, so we were able to enjoy a coffee on the balcony with not as...

"Lovely big space with a great terrace. Hot water is solar but has a heater if needed. Kitchen is quite well equipped although youre so close to so much good food, you won't need it. Washing machine is a total bonus. Parking isnt allowed directly outside but we had no problem parking in the next street after dropping off bags. Call the owner on arrival and you'll be inside 5 minutes later. We would absolutely stay again. "

"Wonderful property with incredibly helpful staff. We arrived before check in time but they greeted us warmly. Our original room had stairs which might be difficult for us to navigate at night so they changed our room. The new room wasn't immediately available but they quickly finished the cleaning for us. We had lots of questions and they had lots of answers about things to do and places to go. We were told that if we needed reservations for a restaurant, they could help and we'd be treated...

"Had a lovely stay at Alcanea in the off season, it’s a great location in Chania Old Town. Kyriaki couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive with any requests I had for things to do or organising taxis etc. The building has a lot of character and history "

"We got a balcony like we asked for (though not guaranteed), and they allowed us to check in early when our room was available and clean. The room was nice, modern, and had just about everything we needed. The reception just downstairs was available at reasonable hours to accommodate however they could, whether that be extra towels or blankets. Oh, and the location is phenomenal, so close to amazing restaurants and bars (check out Lime), and the old venetian harbor is easily walkable (10-15min)!...

"The welcoming feeling goes beyond the arrival. It is all way till the end, when the team thank you and says "hope see you again" - priceless. The whole team, from receptionist and cleaners to management, they are very friendly and helpful. They offer toiletry produced locally. It was so go that we found the brand shop and bought some to take home. They offer all the best. The whole room/ bathroom very clean. I strongly recommend this hotel for all it has to offer. "Wonderful and charming 3 room hotel ideally located in the Old Town; Andreas and Alexandra were wonderful hosts and provided spot on recommendations for eating and sightseeing. Complete breakfast served. And the room was nice appointed with antiques and modern amenities. If you are looking for a boutique hotel experience this is absolutely recommended "

"George was a fantastic host. Attentive to my needs and always available by phone. The room was updated beautifully with a great shower. It was also very clean and comfortable. As far as location the hotel is next to cafes, restaurants, shopping and the harbor and yet very quiet. I would definitely stay again."
