Exceptional B&B

What a wonderful little b&b from the moment we got there John and val were exceptional they could not have offered anything extra from the welcome, room, helpfulness, knowledge of the area and the breakfast wow. Our little dog Ollie was even made as welcome. Will definitely be returning if not this year then early next. Thank you so much 😊

Best B&B I've ever stayed. John and his wife are very nice who told me lots of information about the area. The room is very clean , bed is so comfortable and breakfast are superb.

A Little Gem in Harltand

We stayed two days at Home from Home B&B. John and Val made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent including fresh fruit, a full English breakfast on offer, tea and freshly made coffee. Just a short walk from the centre of Hartland with its two shops and three pubs made it very convenient. It is a popular destination for walkers on the SW Coastal Path and John offered to take us to the beginning of a walk at Hartland Quay.

From the time John opened the door and he and Val introduced themselves, we felt this really was a home from home. Such lovely, welcoming hosts. The room was spotless, bright and extremely comfortable and all we could do was relax. We chatted for a while and we were given advice and information about the best places to eat nearby. We made our choice and weren't disappointed. Breakfast orders were taken and we also commented on the jigsaw that had been completed on the first floor landing. John remarked that he had a garage full of them. My wife is keen on jigsaws and chatted some more. When we got up and went down for breakfast a little earlier than arranged, we were offered coffee or tea and more chatting. One of the best breakfasts we've encountered in our travels, fresh and perfectly cooked. Now it was time to leave and John very generously offered 2 jigsaws for my wife and refused to be compensated. Such a nice surprise and greatly appreciated. A cheery goodbye and we leave Hartland with happy memories and relaxed for the trip ahead. Highly recommended.

Very highly recommended.

Val & John were absolutely super, generous hosts making me feel very much at home. The room was well equipped and the bed comfortable, their home is in a nice quiet cul de sac. Breakfast was fabulous with a lovely fresh fruit salad. If I could give a score of more than 100% I would.

Lovely b&b, with all the necessary comforts and more. It is situated in a beautiful and quiet area and ideal for visiting North Devon. John and Val are the perfect hosts, they provide a very good breakfast, everything is spotless and they are geniounly lovely people. We will certainly come back when we are in the area again and thank them for a lovely stay.

One in a Million

Hosts were wonderful and so welcoming.. Kind and efficient helpful and friendly. Room was a delight as was the En Suite bathroom. Everywhere and everything was clean and looked loved..All that we booked for was received and enjoyed. The breakfast was marvellous. The atmosphere in the village was warm, friendly and welcoming.
