"I booked Kathy’s Cottage based on its high rating, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Check-in was extremely difficult, which was already stressful—especially since I booked this for my dad.
Once inside, the heater and fireplace were not working. I contacted the provided number, and instead of sending help, they instructed my dad to light the pilot himself. He was not comfortable doing that, and I made that clear. They said they would contact maintenance, but no one ever followed up that night.
As a result, my dad had to stay there in the cold all night. The heat only started working the next morning, which did not help the situation at all.
This was not a safe or acceptable experience, and I would not recommend staying here."
