"This property is a slice of Island Time perfection. Completely and beautifully renovated, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The location is off the main road, quiet and laid back. It has a wonderful view of the bay, a lovely pool area, and a quick drive to the restaurants and shops of Matlacha. Without reservation I highly recommend Matlacha on Shoreview for your next island get-away."

"This was the horriblest place me and my spouse ever stayed at. It was roach infested. The towels was dirty. Smelt like it had mildew in the room.Left at 5am because we couldn't sleep. I would not recommend this spot to nobody."

"The young man at the front desk seemed quite stressed. When he asked for the ID of the person who made the reservation, I couldn't remember if I had booked it under my name or my husband's. He asked for a phone number, and when he couldn't find the booking under mine, he was quite arrogant; he immediately took my husband's number and completely ignored me, acting very unkindly and somewhat dismissively toward me. "The AC in our room was broken. Had to come two times to fix it went to bed got woken up at 3 AM when carbon monoxide detector was ringing call front desk was told there was no maintenance to unplug it, we said is there a week because it was bringing they moved us to a small room at 3:30 AM. The next day the Manager Kim called us back and was talking over us trying to tell us we had to stay in that small room, even though I paid for a bigger room finally after arguing got put back in that room so...
