Kalispell Grand Hotel

Kalispell Grand Hotel

8/10 Good
"This is a hotel that has some really major positives & some things that are beyond the control of the owners who really do a nice job. The 4 stars is more a reflection of the overall experience & travelling with younger kids, but the hotel itself is definitely a good option. First the Pros: Cost: Options in the Kalispell/Whitefish/Glacier area were all very expensive since we needed 2 separate rooms or 1 large room. Family room at the Kalispell Grand Hotel it was the lowest cost option for our dates by far. Check in: We arrived early & had a red bus tour scheduled in Glacier at 2pm. The front desk took all our luggage and brought it up to the room. Lobby/Breakfast: Breakfast has a decent selection. Lobby is nice to sit in, with a few extra nice bathrooms. Included popcorn & cookies later in day. Easy Parking: Right behind the hotel, they give you a placard, never had trouble finding a spot. Location: 15 minutes from Glacier airport. Walking distance to everything in downtown Kalispell Hotel Condition: Clean and recently renovated. Here are the only cons: Noise: The downtown strip has a lot of loud cars (especially on Friday nights). Not the hotel's fault, just a product of the location. Rooms: Bathroom door could not fully close, room is mostly taken up by the beds. They are fine for a shorter stay or if you are packing light. Older building limitations. Overall an affordable option with a good location and nice ownership"

"It was close to restaurants and downtown. What I didn’t like was the ridiculous prices throughout the entire area. Super 8 was the least gouged hotel in the entire north valley."

Apres Whitefish

Apres Whitefish

10/10 Excellent
"We didn’t take advantage of the sauna and fire pit because it was closed for the beginning of our trip but it was so cute and welcoming. Rooms were great, very clean, comfy beds. Could be loud if you don’t like noise. We left the fan running the entire time in the room so it wasn’t an issue for us. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Close to the river and a beautiful walk downtown. Great location. Would stay again!"
