"Check-in was immediately stressful. I only had a temporary ID because the DMV had already taken my original, and the front desk agent initially refused to accept it. I’d driven 6 hours to get there, had no other option, and eventually showed a scan on my phone. He got me the room, but with a pretty dismissive attitude the whole time. Not the welcome you want after a long drive. The first night got worse around 1am. I heard a woman screaming in the hallway, what sounded like a serious argument...

"Ubicación: Excelente Parece que el hotel tuvo una remodelación, y en realidad visiblemente está increíble, sin embargo al entrar al hotel hay aromas desagradables, pudiera ser que hay problemas de cañería. En la habitación disminuye, sin embargo en el baño es más notorio. De las dos noches que me quedé, no hicieron limpieza en la habitación. El café que se ofrece en la mañana no pudo servirse porque nunca llegaron los vasos."

"Had a great one night stay at the Lexen. If you need a clean safe place to shower and rest your head Lexen is a good choice. It's centrally located and very close to the Hollywood Bowl. Staff we interacted with were very nice. Room was a bit worn but it was clean. Minimal amenities but an effort is made with their small snack to purchase area. Ease of self parking was a highlight for me. $200 security deposit will be held and $40 parking charge but that's to be expected in LA."

"Very nice hotel. The only strange thing was the staff, which is remote to this location, interfacing through a kiosk computer in the lobby. Probably that offsets the costs, but I would still prefer a human on location in case some events require it. Otherwise, the room was very small but clean, and the location is good. It does the job for one or two days maximum I would say."

"Room was clean. Bathroom had two towels, but one wash cloth and one hand towel for two people. Mattress was servicable, but that's about it. The hotel offers free exterior parking, but only 9 parking spaces, all of which were taken when we returned after leaving for the afternoon. Lot's of homeless folks in the neighborhood. All in all, the hotel is not a bad choice for the budget conscious, like me."
