"First, I have to say the staff was wonderful. Kip at Reception and Lawrence the Valet were exceptional.
The hotel really needs an update. The pictures really don't look like the rooms do today. The room was clean as it could be, considering the furniture was dinged, scratched, and had stains. The bed was super uncomfortable and hard. It felt like sleeping on a board. The linens were certainly old, worn ,and some blankets had holes in them. I feel so bad because the staff was just so nice, but...

"Lovely staff however the room needed an upgrade. The bathroom had stains and it wasnt up to par. The soap in the bathroom caused me to break out. Luckily it was only 2 stays and i would not recommend "

"Breakfast menu was just ok, they don't offer any warm breakfast, just hot beverage. One can microwave themselves.
The room was ok also, the heater was very loud. The room had a humid smell.
The room looked clean, the sitting or open area was nice to work in and spend some time also.
The location is perfect. You can get train from right in front and there are many restaurants and places nearby to eat. The train takes you to inner Boston Area. The parking is expensive. so if you really don't...

"This was a very wonderful and relaxing stay for my daughter and I. The staff at the Tavern were top notch and we ended up eating dinner there both nights we stayed. We loved the proximity to everything we wanted to do in the area. Will definitely stay again! "
