"The hotel was below expectations. Having stayed at La Quinta in Jamaica Queens I had higher hopes for this hotel. The hotel was partially under construction but every public space was full of boxes, from the pool deck that was still open to the elevator corridor on the 7th floor. Safety was a huge concern, the smoke defector was hanging by the cord from the ceiling and chirped every time we opened the bathroom door after showering. "When I was "checked in", I wasn't actually. The woman didn't check me in. The next night when I went to buy something from the snack shop, the other front desk attendant went to put it on my account and said that I wasn't checked in, that I showed up as a "no show".
Combine that with a very loud room right next to the stairwell, and it was pretty uncomfortable stay!"

"The rooms were really clean. The pool was well maintained and nice atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were very nice, helpful and professional.
