"The welcoming staff were courteous. The hotel breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The French Quarter was in walking distance. The hotel room was apartment size and wonderful. I would stay at the Mercantile again and recommend others as well. Great stay!!"

"It is a good hotel, as one would expect for that price, the room convenient, my children liked the pool (recommended for a morning swim), the breakfast was normal for that class of hotel; the one negative thing I noticed is that on a hot 4th of July night the ice machines on the second and third floor were not working and I discovered that the refrigerator in the room was set to 50F, so no chance for a cold drink."

"This apartment is great for those who want a quieter place from the action, but still walkable to it. We had teens with us and it was perfect to have 2 bathrooms. It was clean enough. I wish they had a full length mirror in order to view your outfit before you venture out into the city. Close to the interstate highway, but never heard it inside the apartment."
