"Amazing lodge, super nice staff, the room was very clean and had all amenities (although the bathroom had a funky smell). The kids loved the pool, we loved how easy it was to access mount Rainier, a great time was had by all! We would come again!"

"The overall property and room were nice. It was quiet and the breakfast basket was just as described. The only major downside was the air conditioning did not work and our room was between 78-80 degrees all night. That made for a pretty miserable nights sleep."

"We never saw any staff..they left an envelope on an outside board for us to get into the room. We were assigned an upstairs room with steep stairs and no elevator. We are in our late 70's and it was a chore taking our suitcases and belongings up these stairs. I knocked on their door to the main house to complain, and they never answered the door. "We stayed at Frenchie’s room. The property has an unpleasant odor, likely due to its age. The floors are quite creaky, and the walls between rooms are very thin, making it easy to hear noise and conversations from neighboring rooms.
There is no shampoo or conditioner. The freezer compartment in the mini fridge was heavily iced over, which significantly reduced the usable storage space.
On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and blankets provided.

"Great historical hotel, beautiful place, really enjoyed staying there. Great location, so close to lots of trails, amazing park.
What I did not like much: quality and variety of meals at the restaurant was not great. The hotel has just one restaurant, it is expensive, but the meals are not good enough for me, did not enjoy them as much. And very limited vegetarian options."
