"The property is in pristine condition, and located right where all the action is in the Downtown Santa Monica. I love the decor. The aesthetic is quite homey. The mini bar is stocked with anything you could need during your stay. Even the soaps are nice! You will want to arrive before valet leaves for the day! Otherwise, ample parking is available in City Lot #11 (hourly)."

"This hotel was great! I was in town for a conference and it was in the perfect location. The area is safe, the night time walks are beautiful. The hotel staff is very accommodating. Notes: There are no elevators so if you have accessibility options, you'll want to ask for bottom floor. The dishes in our room were all dirty and just put back in the cupboard; I just re-washed everything. Overall, I'd stay here again. It's a nice quiet place close to the ocean and the zoo. "

"Excellent hotel!! Room was spotless, spacious, modern (recently renovated), bed ultra comfy! Heated pool was nice and warm in a beautiful garden setting. Breakfast is amazing! Super variety, everything tasty and fresh. Very clean breakfast room. Staff is super lovely - especially Abner was very helpful and kind. Original stay was 2 nights - we extended our stay to 4 nights. Location is very convenient close to shopping and restaurants. Book this if you want great value for your money! We will come back!!"

"You check into the mar monte hotel then receive a map to get to the actual hotel a lot of the things in the room are branded mar monte it feels almost like a self serve airbnb that got bought out by the hotel lol. i did get charged a $13 water fee when i didnt drink the water in the room not worth fighting over something small like that but a bit off putting. overall it’s not a bad place to stay. nothing that blew your socks off and no true complaints. "
