"We had a lovely stay in Desenzano at Hotel Riviera, where Desenzano provided the perfect base for us to explore Lake Garda as we had been travelling Italy via trains. We had a balcony and lake view room, which provided gorgeous views and caught the morning sun. For us that was definitely worth upgrading for. The room felt spacious and modern. There was only a mini bar fridge in the room though, so storing any drinks to cool was a challenge, especially with the 30 degree heat. Only gripe with...

"This place is a total gem. It was a little quiet as out of season and i guess its not so touristy as some areas but if you hire a car you can do so much with this as your base. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. There was lots of snacks drinks and other essential items to purchase in the foyer. "This is a very nice hotel with a large size pool in a great location right next to a beautiful beach and a beautiful neighborhood close by to nice restaurants. Attentive and kind service by all reception employees. Nice buffet breakfast. Only drawback is lack of luggage service and having no pool attendant. "
