"Front desk person was not friendly when we arrived. Requested early check-in, which seemed to annoy her even though I explained I know I’m early and it’s not automatic. She said she would call when room was ready and of course I waited till 330 showed up to ask if it was ready and they said they called me but they never did. Also, I upgraded to a water View room luckily we did not bring our dog because when I finally checked in, they said no dogs allowed and there was only one room left...

"Every time we travel to SoCal by car, we make it a point to stop at the Apple Farm. They're hotel and restaurant were always something we looked forward to. This time was different. The hotel is still the same (great service and great rooms), but the restaurant has gone downhill. It's under new management and all the charm is lost. "Great stay overall, and location is the highlight. Direct beach access via stairs and guest-only restrooms made beach time very convenient. The pool area is nice, the hotel layout feels open and relaxing, and we enjoyed the included breakfast plus extras like Wine Wednesday and morning yoga on select days.
