"I reserved a queen size room, bright with a lot of room, couch and table, writing desk , real pretty! When we opened the door there was a bed two very small chairs no place to put a suitcase no floor space ! One little window no ac, the room was on the 3th floor ! Bathroom was very small. I realize it is a very old in and did not expect everything to be perfect, but this was far from it ! It was a room for a maid or a distant relative you want to get rid of ! Unfortunately we had a family...

"Lovely “old” hotel, used to be a men’s clothing store, but it has been remodelled into an exceptional place to stay in downtown Pittsfield. Our room was huge, clean, comfy beds, nice sitting area, desk area, coffee/tea area, and shelves of books! The bathroom was huge, clean, and well-supplied. There was a mini bar but we didn’t use it. Private parking in rear with direct access to hotel lobby. Staff was helpful, friendly, and professional. Great place to stay!"

"This was like staying in a two bedroom walk up in NYC only sooooo much bigger and better! We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of our Room! (The presidential suite). Everything was clean and tidy. Very pleasant decor.
While there was not a place to get coffee down in the lobby area, there was a full kitchen where we could make our own. We ended up going to Starbucks down the road a bit.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Wonderful location also!!"
