Top Yangon Hotel Reviews
Hotel Grand United 21st Downtown
8/10 Good
"The room was nice, and clean. Several things to recommend ... daily housekeeping, a good fridge, a bathtub, an excellent breakfast on the rooftop level ( tables on two terraces and also inside) - a good fast lift too. However this hotel is really quite old, the view from my room on the 7th floor was nondescript to say the least ( though not the hotel's fault I suppose !) the plumbing in my bathroom quite disgraceful ( four separate fixable faults !) but the bathroom was quite agreeable, and still usable. The staff were competent and almost friendly. Certainly one of the better options for a stay in downtown Yangon, but you get what you see, the newer and more expensive hotels are further out."

What is the difference between a 4-star and 3-star hotel in Yangon?
The principal difference between a 3- and 4-star hotel in Yangon is the level of service and availability of creature comforts. Three-star hotels are generally more wallet-friendly and come with the services and amenities you need to be comfortable, such as breakfast, WiFi and a gym. You can look forward to a little bit more at a 4-star hotel — think upscale furnishings, deluxe toiletries and extras like day spas.
