"Everything was clean, the staff was great as always, the view is excellent even from the first floor, and the kitchen has just about everything you need. But the property is beginning to show its age and could use a quick and cheap refurbishing on things like furnishings for the doors/closets/etc. The mattresses are old and feel old. The paint is coming off in places. It's just feeling old, is all.
We love the place, for the record, and will definitely be back. But we'd like to see it...

"Breakfast was great every morning. Eggs, meat, potatoes, pancakes, fruit, juice,breads.
Parking is always good, well lighted, safe.
The Hotel and staff are impeccable.
This was our second stay and we will be back."

"The Hugh is everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast in Cape May. The owners are engaged, on site, and approachable. The location is perfect, no need to move your car once you park. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast is outstanding. We will be back. "
