"Absolutely lovely! Our room was great very spacious and right outside plenty of grass area for our dog to run around. Has many Perfect spots to view the sunsets and access to private beach. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added another night. The staff were very friendly and super nice, they made our stay even better. Looking forward to returning again! "

"Continental breakfast was small but sufficient: Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, hard boiled eggs. The pastries weren’t amazing but this hotel also doesn’t have an in house bakery. Drinks at the bar were great. The bed was great and the rooms were thoughtfully designed. Loved the in room Nespresso. "I was under the impression that this hotel was a 5 star facility but it is absolutely not. It has a lovely lobby and the pre-check-in experience was fine but when I arrived, there was no one around except someone who looked like he didn't even work there. No one came to the door to help with bags, and there was no doorman even though the main wooden doors are extremely heavy to open. The person behind the reception barely looked up, offered zero assistance, and provided no information at all...

"Oh this place is beautiful. The main Lodge is a gorgeous building, full of fascinating books and accessories for sale. (Not to mention the sweetest cats). Stanford has the only indoor pool and hot tub for 100 miles. The restaurant was hot garbage, but Mendocino is chock full of wonderful places to eat."
